This portfolio represents my narrative effort, and collects a series of paintings that summarizes the last years of my pictorial research.
The collection is organized in four thematic areas that I believe best represent my artistic career:
My technique, or the set of practices I use to realize my paintings, has matured during many years of research and experimentation, during which I got close to the raw materials by testing their variety of possible uses.
The Japanese papers, the natural pigments mixed with the synthetic ones, a European variant of the “dripping” are amongst the fundamental elements of my artistic process.
My studio is in Jesi, the city where I live.
I actually have two studios, and both of them are old workshops. The first one was of a tailor, while the second still holds traces of an old farrier. The floor where my paintings take shape changes color as new creations come by.
